Hello, my name is Brian Finch, patent attorney by day and a computer geek by night. I have closely followed the development of VR ever since Oculus began its Kickstarter in 2012. Guided by over eighteen years of tinkering with computers and anything else vaguely resembling electronics, I take an occasional break from my VR headset to lend my legal view of the emerging industry.

The name “Virtual Legality” was dreamed up by my wife, a fellow VR geek. We are both graciously permitted to live in our cat’s apartment, so long as the food keeps coming in.

I also work for an awesome law firm in Columbus called Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter. If you want, you can take a look at my professional bio here.

Otherwise, I am glad to be here on this blog and I hope you enjoy reading my posts and analysis. If you have anything you think I should write about, please feel free to contact me via email.
